You continue on with your voyage and the clouds blot out the sun. You now find yourself in the middle of the sea in near darkness. You wonder if you made the wrong decision, but you know in your heart it is too late to do anything else. Suddenly a voice echoes out from the clouds. "ODYSSEUS!" Poseidon exclaims with anger. "You dare venture out into the sea after what you have done to my son? You will pay for what you have done!" The voice then fades away as the waves begin to increase in intensity.You peer over the side of the ship and view the growing waves as lightning strikes in the distance. The entire ship starts to turn as a whirlpool starts to form in the swirling water near by. The rain pounds down and the wood of the ship gets flimsy and begins to splinter. Lightning strikes the ship mast with a crack and it catches on fire. You sink with the ship and as you take your last breathe before going down within the great blue sea, you see the clouds retreat and the sun begin to shine.
You awake on and island to find that you somehow miraculously survived; Athena must still me watching over you. You look around and discover that you are on the island of the beautiful goddess Circe. Continuing to peer around, you find the damaged wreckage that was your ship.
